TWO OF MANY WAYS TO COOK PINTO BEANS.

PRESSURE-COOKER

ALWAYS SORT YOUR  BEANS, REMOVING ANY FOREIGN OBJECTS.  THEN SOAK THE DRIED BEANS OVERNIGHT OR FOR A COUPLE HOURS.  IN THE PRESSURE COOKER ADD DRAINED BEANS AND CLEAN WATER WITH SALT TO TASTE.  BRING PRESSURE UP AND COOK FOR 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR.  THEN ADD ANY SEASONING LIKE RED CHILLI OR HAM, BROWNED HAMBURGER MEAT.

STOVE TOP

ALWAYS SORT YOUR  BEANS, REMOVING ANY FOREIGN OBJECTS.  RINSE THE BEANS TO REMOVE ANY DUST, THEN PLACE IN A LARGE POT AND COVER WITH WATER  ADD SALT TO TASTE.  BRING BEANS TO A BOIL AND LET SIMMER FOR 6 HRS, CHECKING  IF YOU NEED TO ADD WATER ALWAYS ADD HOT WATER  THIS KEEPS THE BEANS FROM TURNING DARK.  THEN ADD YOUR OWN SEASONING OR EAT PLAIN.
